From Heritage to Hustle: A Legacy Blueprint in Action

At Table SALT Group, we believe that legacy is not what we leave behind — it’s what we build into others now. That belief is at the core of our From Heritage to Hustle webinar series: a powerful gathering of minds, stories, strategies, and systems that equip leaders to move with intention from survival to sustainability — and from hustle to heritage.

What is the From Heritage to Hustle Webinar Series?

From Heritage to Hustle is a three-part (turned four-part, by popular demand) webinar experience designed to bridge the wisdom of the past with the tools of the present. Through live conversations with business scholars, entrepreneurs, and storytellers, we explore what it means to build legacy-minded enterprises rooted in accountability, ownership, and impact.

This isn’t just another business seminar — it’s a call to action for those ready to build with purpose and plan with history in mind.

What Makes This Series Unique?

Each session is grounded in themes from our research publication and movement, Black to the Future: Lessons from Black Wall Street for Community and Economic Prosperity. We blend historical insight with modern-day application, using the Black Wall Street legacy as both inspiration and instruction.

Our core focus areas include:

  • Government contracting and fair access to public sector opportunities for small businesses
  • The rise of ancestral and artificial intelligence as tools for Black innovation
  • Storytelling and data as instruments of accountability and scale
  • Systems thinking and structure for sustainable impact
  • Community as currency in the work of legacy-building

Who Is Involved?

We are honored to feature an intergenerational panel of powerhouse voices:

🟣 Dr. Tanisha Lemelle
Business strategist, creative director of The Clever Site and certified government contracting expert who teaches us how to gain visibility, access, and leverage in procurement.

🟣 Dr. Robert McNeill, Jr.
Innovation strategist and founder of Morgan York Consulting, who shows us how ancestral intelligence and artificial intelligence intersect in Black entrepreneurship.

🟣 Dr. LaRachelle Samuel-Smith
Legacy architect, researcher, and co-founder of Table SALT Group, who guides us through historical case studies and the importance of storytelling as infrastructure.

Together, these leaders explore where the past meets the present — and what it takes to build a future our ancestors would be proud of.

What Are the Benefits of Attending?

Participants leave each session with more than just inspiration — they leave with:

A clearer vision of what legacy leadership looks like
Tools and strategies rooted in history, policy, and practice
Access to a growing community of practice through the SALT Shaker Network
Entry into the Diverse Lit Dialogue Book Club, where we deepen our learning through storytelling
