Table SALT Group Recognized for Leadership in Education by GFEL

Table SALT Group Managing Director LaRachelle Smith was recently named one of the Top 100 Visionaries in Education by the Global Forum on Education and Learning (GFEL).

Smith was honored along with other recipients during GFEL 2020-21 on June 23-25, 2021, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

GFEL honors those in the education and learning sector from around the world, judging nominees based upon five criteria: overall reach, industry impact, spirit of innovation, future readiness, and market demand.

In addition to receiving the award, Smith had the opportunity during the three-day conference to network with other leaders in the education field, hear prominent speakers and interact with venture capitalists investing in global learning.

About LaRachelle Smith

LaRachelle Smith has more than 20 years experience in education and currently is pursuing a PhD in Leadership for Higher Education through Capella University. LaRachelle holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a masters in business administration. She is also a graduate of Lead21, a program designed for faculty and leaders in land grant universities. She also participated in the Rice University Executive Education program.

LaRachelle has been a Certified Practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Instrument (MBTI) since 2015. She uses these assessments to help participants in the Table SALT Group’s program better understand themselves and those they will serve in the future.

SALT stands as an acronym for Self Awareness Leadership Training and Student Apprentice Leadership Training.

The Global Forum on Education and Learning was launched to bring upcoming leaders in education from around the globe together annually for a closed conference to promote and build on educational innovations. GFEL held its first conference in Dubai in 2019 and combined the 2020 and 2021 conferences because of the pandemic.
